Icecrypt T2400 FreeviewHD PVR to arrive late September

The latest news on the Icecrypt T2400 Freeview HD recorder is that it’s now expected to be on shelves around the end of September. The recorder, which boasts twin tuners and disk sizes of 500GB, 1TB and 2TB, will also feature DivX movie playback, though it’s not yet clear if that includes network media playback.

Although an August release date was floated in some quarters, it looks like there is a wait for DTG testing at the moment, without which units cannot have the Freeview HD logo. I hope to have more news soon.

  1. Look forward to the release of this unit with a bit more inside information next month in addition to possible screen shots being available. Also hope that it will have competitive functions to other PVRs that have already been released so far.

  2. There does appear to be certain issues going on at the moment with the current crop of HDPVRs, I hope that Icecrypt are taking note so that maybe the T2400 can be fully tested before it’s release avoiding the problems that the other PVRs are having.
