Oh god yes - the 'skip forward and back' buttons I have frot he excellent MyStuff EPG replacement are amazing. I use them all the time, and am slightly worried when its time to upgrade to a HD freeview box, as most of them don't have this essential feature.

Spread the word to all manufacturers - skip forward buttons are a significant value-add feature.

Hello

I'm interested in the same thing as Simon! I understand that properly testing a PVR takes time - going through the features and checking everything works as it should, as well as a bit of run-time to ensure reliability.

But a list of machines under test would be great.

Cheers

Nigel

I've been a very happy owner of a Topfield for the past few years, thanks in no small part to your website and the support it provides - which is how I've ended up here!

Like you, life without a PVR is unimaginable for me and my family now.

My Toppy is however starting to show its age now and I have been looking at the Freeview HD PVR options, which is why your comments about a round-up you're working on has piqued my curiosity.

The market seems to be at an early stage, but there are already some models available and a fair few promised for release in the coming months, including some with interesting additional functionality beyond straightforward decoding and recording of digital broadcasts, eg iPlayer and Sky Player and network and internet connectivity.

Can you provide a list of the ones you think you'll be covering and give us any idea of when it is likely to be published? I'd be extremely interested in your views before making a purchase.

thanks
